What is the zoning feature?

The zoning feature provides the user with the ability to view visitor activity, duration, and movement by zone within their location. The feature provides interior granularity on a daily and hourly basis for large locations that have multiple floors, departments, or wings.

How is the activity level calculated?

Activity is calculated by comparing the visit count for the selected day or hour with the historical daily or hourly average for the selected location or zone. The four shades of blue represent a minimal, low, medium, and high level of visitor volume compared to the average.

What is displayed in the movement widget?

The movement widget displays the percentage of visitors in the highlighted zone that also visited other zones at the selected location. For example, if you have selected “Floor 1,” the bar(s) in the movement widget will display what percentage of Floor 1 visitors also visited the other floor(s).

Why do I not see 100% of visitors in the only zone with an entrance?

Sometimes the percentage of visitors seen in the zone with the only entrance to a location will be less than 100% due to the nature of Wi-Fi technology. Because Wi-Fi enabled devices only send pings every 30 seconds to two minutes, visitors who enter and quickly move to a second zone may not be detected by the Wi-Fi network in the entrance zone.
